PRODUCT WARRANTY

All products covered by this warranty must be registered by the original purchaser within a period of 30 days from the date of purchase. ALUTEX warrants to the original purchaser only, its Retractable Awning Frames to be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal and proper use commencing from the date of purchase for a period of: Ten (10) years on all Awning Systems, One (1) year on Patios & Pergolas moving parts, Five (5) years on Patio Systems & Pergolas Structural Parts.

For all Alutex products not identified as “Retractable Awning Frames” please refer to their specific warranties or consult factory.

This warranty supersedes any previous warranty expressed or implied and does not cover normal wear and tear, damages to paint exposed to salty and water treatment environments, installation damages, and damages caused by misuse, accidents, high winds, rain, fire, or acts of God. Alutex is not liable for any damage occurred nor to any structure involved in the installation of its awnings neither to any item in their proximities. Furthermore, this warranty is void in the event the awning is serviced by any unauthorized dealer.

Cost of removal and reinstallation of defective items shall be the sole responsibility of the purchaser. Any such parts must be returned to the original place of purchase or any authorized Alutex dealer for shipment prepaid to ALUTEX, after receiving a return authorization number (RA#) from Alutex.

All other manufacturer’s warranties for fabric, motors, electrical parts, and other optional elements, not covered by this limited warranty, are automatically passed on to the original purchaser by any such manufacturer. Copies of such warranties are available upon request of the dealer.

ALUTEX MAKES NO OTHER WARRANTY, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, AND ALUTEX SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, LOSS OR INJURY RESULTING FROM THE INSTALLATION OF ITS PRODUCTS. Some states do not allow the exclusion of incidental or consequential damages, so the foregoing limitations or exclusions may not apply to you.

This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.

Caution

Retractable Lateral Arm and Drop Arm Awnings contain strong springs under tension. Should removal or replacement of the cover or any part become necessary, to prevent possible injury call your local Authorized Alutex Dealer.

Warning

Retractable Awnings are specifically designed to be retractable and primarily for sun protection. They are not designed to withstand high winds or heavy rain which can collect in the cover on shallow pitch installation. During those times, the awning must be fully retracted to prevent damages not covered by warranty. Any accessory provided to transform the original nature of an awning from retractable to stationary, is inadvisable. In no event will Alutex be liable for direct or indirect damages resulting from the installation of such accessories (i.e. Front Legs). It is the responsibility of the installer to educate the consumer accordingly.
